Campaign keeps crashing at start

Title explains the jist of it. RTW Vanilla works perfectly fine, no crashes or issues what-so-ever. I used to play RTR Platinum and that used to work perfectly fine too! But now, wanting to play again. I did a complete reinstall of RTW, downloaded and installed the proper patches (1.3 , 1.5) and downloaded/installed RTR Plat. The game loads up perfectly, no issues there. I haven't tried custum battle cuz frankly i'm not that interested in it. But the moment i select my campaign options and start up, before i even get a loading screen the game crashes and windows cannot find an error.

Please help? Anyone?

Go to these locations:
Rome - Total War\RTRPE\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign
Rome - Total War\RTRPE\data\world\maps\base

and remove the files named map.rwm if you find any. Then try to start the campaign again.
