    Default Berlusconi hit by bystander.

    Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has been hit in the face and knocked to the ground after a political rally in Milan.

    Mr Berlusconi was taken to hospital. A first medical report said two teeth were damaged, with one broken.
    A man, who reportedly has a history of mental problems, has been arrested.

    Your opinions? I think this man got what was coming to him. I honestly think he is one most corrupt and worst leaders of Europe and he should be relieved of his position.

    Also, is it just me, or do I not believe that it was a person with mental problems?

    Pwned.

    But yeah, I think he had it coming. Maybe it was the husband of one the women he slept it with.

    His popularity already decreased hugely a month ago. I dont think an attempt will raise it. Simply Italians are opening their eyes about where Papi is leading the Country, with his outrageous attitudes in politics and ethics. Berlusconi rules Italy as a sultan. He claims to be the best Italian PM of last 150 years but in reality he's the worse. And the fact he owns the 90% of media is a sign he cannot rule a Country. Because it's clear all the laws he makes are clearly ad personam just for gain advantage for all his businesses, as all the ones he proposed and passed.

    PS= i m not encouraging violence eh

    Hardly unwarranted, though there are better ways than violence.

    A fine hit.
    Seriously, I could never understand how the italian people can stand by Berlusconi.
    He seems rotten to the core and yet he keeps getting into office.

    In a civilized society lead by honest people, a guy as Silvio the Great never had the possibility to make political career... but this is not valid for Italy , the Country of Pizza, Pasta, Mafia and tycoons who made money in a not clear way..
    As Papi collegues (the ones with black suits and flowers in the chest pockets from Sicily) always say.. "capisci"?

    Sigh. What a predictably stupid response. Just because you think somebody's a prick, doesn't mean you can hit them. Having strongly held political beliefs isn't some kind of excuse for being a thug. But whatever, when those people next get hit in the face, I'm sure they'll just think to themselves "well, that chap obviously thought I was a bit of a cad, so hitting me in the face was quite ok".

    Call me old-fashioned but hitting a 70-year old guy in the face when he won't see it coming and when he's not presenting any immediate threat to you is, in my books, a cowardly attack. But no doubt you'll carry on justifying thuggish behaviour by claiming two wrongs make a right. I'm pretty sick of extremism in politics.

    Yeah, you're right. I guess him hurting numerous people with his arrogant policies and ties to seedy members of the otherwise illustrious Italian communities, should give him a free pass on anything. Including altering the laws to his will to avoid sitting before a court drama.

    It would have happened before long, i just wonder WHY it took em so long to act that way...
