Questions about the Praetorians...

Hey everyone.

I'm not very far in the mod yet(a damn good mod if I say so myself), but I want to ask some questions about these Praetorians. I've seen them on the loading screens and boy, they look damn sexy.

One question is, how much stronger are they compared to the regular imperial legions? Is there a 1st praetorian cohort? Also, is it possible to make my faction leader/heir have praetorian cavalry as a body guard?

I dont know stats from head, you can check them from Custom battle screen, but they are far more powerful.
On 2nd question - I think you cannot have that cavalry as bodyguards

True, with knowledge of code you dont need this forum, just LT´s approval. But really, mod is wonderful as it is within limitations set by engine. Why change

Cause if you stop carthage the gauls move in and eat you alive, if you stop the gauls carthage moves from the south and eats you alive. If you stop both you run out of money to retrains troops in 5 turns and get eaten alive anyway.

But I don't think you need permission to edit the mod for your own personal use, just if you want to release it to the public.

i don't want to sound rude, but there are plenty of us that are capable of achieving both against the gauls and the carthagians. then you just have to be patient while you build your econonmy before investing in extra legions.

my advice is to follow Hesus' guide since it is incredubly helpful. And don't worry if you don't manage it the first time. I didn't. Just try a few times and you'll make it past the beggining.

Aye I'm well aware I'm not the best player out there.

I found that about an hour after I posted, saved my arse, I made it up to turn 5 on there and have since been doing well on my own.

This is nto hacknslash uberromans vanilla mod. This is hardcore. Yesterday I speak with a RS2 beta tester and he said he had to quit SPQR cause its too hard. This is no lame mod. You can make it according to rules and ye get the credit. Remember that.
