Hmmm, looks like you're not playing as Master Chief anymore. They might go in the right direction by showing faces and maybe attempting to details the characters and make the players like who they actually play as more since their more defined than the faceless, quiet Master Chief.

as far as elite-commandos though, master chief seemed to be the only actual...elite commando acting one...the ODST team reminds me too much of the crew of Serenity (even has fillion and baldwin ) meets basic recruits.

Will be another ODST no doubt.
A over-hyped and over-charged game with hardly anything new or special about it.

Well this is a complete new game, not just an add-on.

    And neither was ODST.
Well it was a expansion of course but that didn't stop them from charging you the price for a full game.

are you still getting a full game with its own decent campaign and mutiplayer options? yes.
however, part of me thinks the full price is to pay off 2-3 of the actors from Firefly/Serenity to appear in the game

And you know this how ?
Considering their games are getting shorter and shorter it's safe to assume that this will be another game that should have been released as a DLC, not as a full price retail.

    Wiki says 8-10?

The game's length increased from original estimates of 3-to-5 hours to 8-to-10

Well if people rush through it is that the developer's fault?

In a FPS like Halo, rushing is the gameplay.
Unless you count looking up at the sky a part of the gameplay.
ODST can be completed in 3-5 hours by playing it as intended.

To get the same fun and experiance as a Halo game you can just go play Wolfenstein Enemy Territory on PC for Free, the games feel almost identical other than the fact jumping almost equal's floating on Halo games, and there is no quick melee attack butten or instent thrown grenades, and no rag doll physics, but the technology behind most everything else is the same, if not more advanced on ET Wolfy when it comes to projectiles, making ET Wolfy still superior, and yet free, with dedicated servers and all.

Actually Wolfenstein ET is the reason Halo has never ever impressed me. My Causin who played Halo religiously... well three causins who all played Halo together a lot who also played ET Wolfy all agreed, Wolfenstein ET still beats the pants of Halo, and it's much older. Just almost none of them have a computer worthy of any form of gaming. But at out community collage we all used to play Wolfenstein ET tournies with dozens of other people on the school's network for hours a day after classes, took us all years to get bored of the game. I still remember the time on a custom map someone made I was a field ops calling in artillery strikes on a full 60 player server before the end of the match I had well over 200 kill, that was a blood bath battle, they just couldn't make it across that bridge... lol, only times I was in a fire fight were moments they stormed the tall building I was spotting for artillery and player controlled morters is when I had to help repell the infiltraters. Spotting for players using morters was always a joy, mark on a map location, and give detailed instructions of where they were form that dot you marked, Halo anything doesn't beat that. hehe

    One word: Xboxlive.

Halo on Xboxlive is awesome. Sharing forge maps, playing Infection.

I thought the whole point of ODST was to bridge the gap between Halo 3 and Reach (which implies that Reach will be a full-length game, and that ODST was always going to be a "mini-campaign")?
