    Default Ideas to enhance general scripts

    hi all'
    I do have the know-how-myself
    but am working on learning but I think:
    I would like too incoporate in my mod a script which triggers a historic event
    (just like when your told a pirincess has come age or regent has been appointed
    in the major mods like DLV and SS)
    whenever these things happen anywhere:

    1. a settlement is converted to a castle
    2. a settlement rebels
    3. ports are commisioned
    4. a faction has expanded to 5 or more settlements under thier command

    Time to introduce you to the Docudemons, I think. It is an Excel spreadsheet with a lot of stuff listed. Scripting commands, events and other things to enlighten the novice.

    I will learn but this is a horribly written document! there is no introduction ( which explains where you need to make your entries, overall this document is usless ! for someone like myself ! being the only "real" propenant of my mod)(job for a scripter not a mod leader)

    Horribly written? Ouch! I might have to go cry now!

    Its just a reference tool, its not designed to be a tutorial. All my tutorial stuff is in threads. If I had included stuff like that in the file then it would be 100 megs or more in size, though there are a few sample scripts included.

    I have posted extensively in the area of scripting, and have released several full blown scripts that can be dropped into any mod. 90% of my work in that area can be found here, and I also suggest you look up Alpaca's scripting stuff. Between the two of us there is a TON of scripting info out there.

    It isn't exactly for beginners, I admit.

    The first three tabs are for commands, conditions and events

    Examples
    Events: GeneralCaptureSettlement

    Conditons:
    SettlementName

    Commands:
    historic_event

    Which would go into a monitor like this:

    monitor_event GeneralCaptureSettlement
    and SettlementName Rome
    historic_event Rome_has_fallen
    end_monitor


    Once you know how, it isn't that difficult

    GiGantus` I understand what your saying! but my point is I think ( I have proven, A serious commitment to my mod) and I haved learned alot and more to learn! no problem but example I have done faction describtions for L`O I mean ex but when I asked for scripts the answer was "why should I" so it seems I am on my own! my mod has seen more progress and work than more than half of what is "hosted" but I was declined nonetheless...........................

    i'm not here to flame this, but you asked me to make scripts that give much more trouble than to make some goddamn descriptions everyone can do

    and right after i posted my post (see 2nd post on this thread) i heard this of you

    so just do those scripts I posted in the workshop for me forget the ones I spoke of before
    that wasn't much cordial to ask, specially when you seem to be demanding

    I think you mis-interpret I was going on the presummption we had reached an agreement already and since these are more easier than the others I suggested I thought I was making a better offer
