    Default where to attack?

Im a begginer and am playing the Silven elves. Ive conquered everything from Mirkwood to the Mistymountains and whats left of the goblins are my vassals. I am about to get my best troops and have quite a few options. I have the dwarves and Dale to my East also being attacked by Rhun. To the south is Rohan along with a few mordor half stacks roaming around. I have Eriador to my West and not at war with anyone but is made up almost exclusively of villages with about 3 castles. To my Southwest I have Isangard. Finally To the South East is Rhun. who shlud I attack?I also have alliances with Isangard( had to to get the map information to where the heck it is) and with Gondor.

You should help Gondor since it usually gets gang banged by Mordor and Harad while the Dwarves are well able to hold their own against Rhun.

nah theyll make a good meatshiled if Isengard or Eradior starts getting greedy.

also I cant ally with dwarves and dale cause they hate me (dont know why).

After destroying misty orcs i went down and saved rohan from isengard, then i continued down and saved gondor from mordor and harad..... dale are good enough atm to hold rhun back, but i will be helping them out now to get rhun.

I like to help the good guys out.

    Also your allied with isengard........

I had to to get the map information to where they were. now i know where theyre capital and all theyre cities are. Also I cant save rohan because then Id have to search in unkown territorry for who knows long. So Ill get a few rebel settlements to the South and attack Mordor. Also the dwarves have a stack roaming around my lands. thars bad news.also Isengard is docile for the moment so I dont have to worry about them.

Well gondor is doomed. Rhun, Isengard, and the goblins declared war on them. I only have one full stack to spare.

that's why you really have to be quick, and ally up as much as possible. When i saved rohan they only had like 2 settlements left.... it was bit of an effort to get rid of isengard but did it with help from rohan and high elves..... then i went down to gondor and half of their settlements had gone.... ive now pushed back harad to their own land, and pushed mordor back to minith tirths.

The key for me is to get as many allies at war with the enemy, and making them an important power. So when I saved rohan, I gave them back like 3 settlements for free, so they could build decent armies (which they have)

When I took back gonador, i gave cities back to gondor so they could help me out in future (which they are)

Also what I do is put a frontline settlement, and give it to far away allies such as high elves and dwarves. So I took east osgiliath.... gave it to high elves.... next move harad attacked it and took it in one... high evles declared war on harad. I took it back next turn easily, and gave it to dwarves.. etc etc.

There spearman can really hold a line too. unfortunatley. Its me and Gondor vs. Mordor and Isangard and the goblins. I cant get the Eradonians(sp?) (the nation with the shire in it) to join in for some reason and the dalish are busy with Ruhn

take your army from dol goldor (unless you dont have it) then take the settlements going donward wich woll give u access to the eaast into rhun and quick path to the black gate to take the rest of mordor then go east from malgalad and nurman

well ive been capturing southern settlements however I cant send a decent enough militia from my older conquests and the mordors usually have a half stack lying around somewhere near before I can get enough culture to build a decent milita force. Ive also captured every goblin base around the Misty mountains. there still alive in some obscure place which there slowly building from a town to a huge city with balistas and a full stack garrison. ( happended to one of there 3 cities)
also Ill post some screenies if I can.

Start the game -> load the saved game -> press printscreen -> go to [your drive, for example C]:\program files\SEGA\Medieval 2 Total War\TGA There will be numberd .TGA files there. You can convert these with several programs. I use Photoshop for this but you could also use GIMP which is free. The best format to save them would either be .PNG or .JPG/JPEG
