Can't build Order Spearman as Teutonic Order?

I read the first part of Kitty's AAR concerning the Order. She describes building Order Spearman right away. I am playing the Order, and I cannot build Order Spearman. In fact, I do not see it as a possibility on any of the future buildings (when I look at settlement details).

Does anyone know why that may be?

I REALLY need those spearman (although, I must admit that those Prussian Mercenary Spears are the bomb

).

you need the to be less pegan and more catholic in the place, were you are buliding the men you need.

I am 92% Catholic in Riga (city) and 88% Catholic in Konigsberg (Castle). Hmm . . . maybe it doesn't show spearman as possible build but will only show up at certain point?

Kitty's playing Vanilla, while I'm guessing you're using RR/RC. In that case, it's most likely they're not available yet. Once the historically correct time arrives, you'll be able to recruit them.

That's wierd, though, that I started with 3 of 'em. Interesting. I didn't realize the tech tree was dynamic like that (i.e. looking at building details will only show what units would be available at the current year).
