Default hardness of battles, difference of easy, medium...

Concerning the battle difficulty for 6.2, I know the AI gets smarter if you put hard or very hard, but are there some bonuses for the enemy's unit strenght, that is will his for example - peasants always beat my peasants on and above a certain difficulty?

Higher difficulties only give enemy troops unfair stat bonuses. They don't affect its intelligence at all.

I think that will be Easy, but I'm not certain.

And was a sovereign Southern State.

Medium I guess, no morale or any combat bonuses.
