Could somone please explain to me in very simple, yet highly detailed, english exactly how to instal this game?

I am trying to run RTR Platinum on BI

Please tell me...
What patches I must have
Where the games RTRPE folder must be
If I have to delete anything
If I have to click on any kind of reset button
What I should see when the game loads

Right now I can load up the game but all I can do is play the tutorial campaing, sons of mars.
And the Original Rome TW Imperial campaign by playing it through the provincial campaign.
Clearly I have done somthing wrong in the instalation, so someone please just take me through the whole process so I can finaly play this game.

You don`t say what version your game is so I`m guessing you had no problem with installing your game. So, on the assumption that you have a clean copy of RTW v1.5 and BI v1.6 installed, you need to install RTRPE v1.9 in the main Rome - Total War folder, not inside the BI sub-folder. Make sure that you have directed the installer correctly. RTRPE installs by default in an Activision folder, while newer versions of the game install by default in a The Creative Assembly folder. Let the installer run the batch file to delete the map.rwm(so that it is regenerated by the game the next time you start it, based on the new info of the mod) or run it manually after the installation(it`s in the main Rome - Total War folder and you need to double click it). Otherwise the game crashes when you start a new campaign. Start the game via the RTRPE BI desktop shortcut that the installer will place on your desktop. That`s the only way to play it with BI. In fact, if you have installed the mod switch version of RTRPE you simple have to start the game via the new desktop shortcut or it will load the vanilla game.

Is the RTRPE folder meant to be in the creative assembly folder or the Rome - Total War folder?
Atm when I load the game all I get is the vanilla version through the provincial campaign.
