    Default Two Questions

I have two questions; one may or may not be a bug, the other is purely technical.

1). Has BC changed up how war diplomacy works? I've been playing a ERE game, and no matter the alliances, wars are only being fought between the aggressor and the attacker. If I attack, my allies don't join, and neither do theirs; if they attack me, neither of our allies join again. The same thing happens in AI vs. AI wars. Is this a new BC feature to keep factions from being dragged into war together, or did something bug out on me?

2). How would I go about changing the city/castle models of Indian cultured settlements using the Stratmap City/Castles mod? There was a fix somewhere to get African cultured settlements to use the Middle Eastern models from the mod; is this what I would do, but with Indian culture instead?

    Hate to bump, but...

I'm looking to start a new campaign, but if I need a bug fix I want to make sure I have it right before I get involved.

#1 is the more important one, I don't really even care that much about #2 (I mean I do, but I'll search out the proper thread and ask there )

Sorry for late reply, Kippy. I guess I've read your post and put it on later but forgot to reply.

#1 I can't give reliable answer (maybe GV will if he find time) but I'd say that it's not a bug. That's how diplomacy was designed.

#2 It's enough not to use the Stratmap City/Castles mod's descr_cultures.txt - and all will be fine. In other words, don't install this file. In BC Hindu culture uses mesoamerican culture slot and there are Middle Eastern strat models ascribed to it. You don't have to do change anything.

    Thanks for the answers Wudang!

I thought the diplomacy might have been designed that way, to help the AI from being dragged into tons and tons of wars. I wasn't around TWC for most of the immediate lead-up to BC 2.0, so it was probably discussed/mentioned.

Do you think you could attach a clean BC desr_cultures.txt file? I used Stratmap City/Castle version, with your suggested edit for African cultures, and I'm almost positive I didn't back up the proper file. Will SCC work without a proper African culture defined?

And no worries about the late response... I apologize for the bump, but I'm almost done with Finals and I see a marathon BC session coming on to celebrate - and I've been itching to play a Ghorid campaign ever since y2day posted his new borders. I was just nervous to invest 2 hours into a campaign if I'd have to restart it to reinstall or fix the problem (if there was one)

    No problem! It's attached below.

I suggested edit, but it appeared to me later that it's not necessary at all.

Thanks Wudang. Just booted it up and the Indian settlements look much nicer now

When I first installed the mod, I placed your edit in because I thought people were encountering problems with the mod not recognizing the African culture - which made sense to me. I thought his mod was assigning the Indian culture the Aztec models, which is why I thought I'd have to make a new culture entry in his descr_cultures.txt. It didn't even occur to me to revert to the proper BC version.

Everything's flawless now. Watch out Rajputs, here come some angry Ghorids!
