Default CONFIRMED: NO MOD TOOLS FOR E:TW

    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=316761

This is a link to a thread with a link (yeah it's funny ain't it lol) to an interview. I just didn't want to take credit for the find, but thought the news was more important here.

Sad to see this though. I was going to buy E:TW when a decent mod came out (SS or RTR), but it appears that day won't come.

nice translation of a dutch proverb.

and I guess someone will find a solution to this someday.
I'm not using mods myself (I don't think I need them to enjoy the game)
But I like to see all creative things modders will do with Empire, when someone will find a solution

i find hardly enjoy the bugged etw without mods o.o, but what makes me angry isn't the fact of the vanilla be boring but yes the fact they lie alot, faked previews with features wich later was ignored or taken, alot of statements by mr kieran wich are just empty promises, and make silly dlcs and make ntw wich is a rip off of etw, nothing new, this is like kingdoms on mtw, reskined units with few custom maps, game is the same !
Common sense removed due being Disruptive.

kingdoms was great and of course its was the same ( it was an expansion)
ntw is the same as empire but a stand-alone with the same price as an expansion. I dont care its just another fantastic total war game.

Whats fantastic about it? I cant remember playing any of the TW games without mods for more than a week before being frustrated to death with the lack of any AI, balance or, fun.
NTW with no mods = no purchase.
Enjoy your dlc sales Sega, they will be low.

What Kieran doesn't understand is that we're still severely handicapped regardless of keeping the files "open" (Which is also a lie, because a lot of content is still locked like DLC). For instance, we might be able to bring models into the game, but it still requires time and talent to make the model, both are things I don't have. Same with retexturing. I can edit the DB files but it is repetitive, hard and very sensitive, it's like doing surgery but on a game. I wish that CA would just release a simple, user-friendly tool.
