Tell me, is there any way to add Sauron as a character?

also, to avoid double post, is there a way to make the game harder than it is? vh vh seems kinda dull.

i ask about sauron because ive pretty much have battled Mordor all the way from rohan to the black gates, then to Barad Dur, but even then they dont get some super stack or something that has sauron in it. pretty unepic if you ask me.

is there a 2nd age mod lying around? the last alliance time period?

1) It is said said on lower campaign difficulties (H, M) the game could even be harder due to balancing reasons (lack of balancing on these difficulties). I haven't tried it out, so I'm not sure if it's true. Another possibility would be a submod like RR/RC which should make it a bit more challenging...

2) Saurons absence has mostly gameplay reasons I think, because he is supposed to act as the pope, if he was the leader of Mordor he could "excommunicate" himself and things like that. But theoretically it's of course possible, like Kikka said, and maybe we even see him in some later version...

3) There is a submod called Second Age Total War which is about this time period - again, I haven't tried it though, can't tell if it is good.

The team is working on a Sauron model. Devils_Advocate is doing this right now. And he said that there will be a Sauron model for sure. If not by him then by KK.
