Give us blood and gore! At least, give us the option of blood and gore!

I'm getting really tired of the lack of blood, gore, dismemberment and injuries. Clone armies neatly laying down on the ground and "dying" just doesn't cut it anymore. I want ground covered in blood! I want injured soldiers moaning in the grass! I want cannonballs to rip off arms and legs! I want GORE!

War in the Napoleonic age was hell, and the game should reflect that! Don't you agree?

I know the game would be banned in Germany and other sissy-countries, but maybe just release a gore-less version in these places?

Visuals are the least of my concerns about NTW

Of course we should have a drop of gore added, War is Hell! reflect it as it is, anyway CA probably will work on it again for their console games.Poor German gameplayer,s one has to feel sorry for them, living in the ultimate nanny state?

Strange how they managed it in MTW2...

Also, I`m sure in the propaganda to release they said blood would be in the game... But then they also said they`d be moving wounded too. Even Imperial Glory (and old game now) beats CA on that!

Blood and gore no it will never happen. They are going for a T rating which is limited blood and no gore. Having an option would invalidate that and make the rating go by what the highest option is.
Blood and dirt like in M2TW, hope so. But if I am honest either way I couldn't care any less.

T rating? Nooooooooooooo!!! Damn.

With PG rating in AU (probably most "conservative" ratings board after Germany), something is amiss. When your "Total War" has a lower OFLC rating than "Twilight Princess", it could stand to be bloodier!

Personally though, the dirt is equally important. The absence is far from game breaking, but it's a little sad.

In this case, it does. Having a gore option is identical to including gore as standard as far as ratings and the ratings authorities are concerned.

And if your rating is too high, retailers and distributors are uncomfortable about carrying the product.

ahh, bull . it didn't stop any stores from carriying and selling M2TW, now did it. Walmart sells the game for christs sake.

yes a teen rating insures more people can buy it....my god a M rating would very much limit it's reach

Children are inexplicably drawn to it, probably the best thing to happen to the sale figures since the addition of the name Napoleon to the title would be an M-rating.

Stores don't give a , online stores care even less and Steam sells to every sucker willing to shovel out the cash. Just look at MW2, it has an 18+ rating and outsold any other game on the market. We are also forgetting that most gamers are 18 and up. Games have not been a kids only thing for a LONG time with the average age being 20 in Europe, 22 in America and 31 in Australia.

M-rating only means no one in Australia is able to buy it in stores, but they will simply order abroad as they have done.

If the gore and blood could be modable I dont care.I just buy the game after the moders opinions.But as I read here about rates, the 14 years kids buy the game at same no matter has rated to 18 and Few fathers look that.

A resounding yes from me. War is hell, and Total War is meant to depict battles realistically. The havoc of battle can't really be shown properly without the full blood and gore.

Ideally, I'd say yes, but it isn't near the top of my priorities. I would sooner like to see Civilians get gunned down in the crossfire in town battles. I mean, games never have civilians in battle, but yet it is a town, civilians were there. A field hospital would be neat as well but it would never happen.

Better yet, make it so that there's an online only copy that allows you to turn it on. Then someone will inevitably mod it into the retail version.

Skips ratings so doesn't scare retailers and allows people who want it to have it.
