Which TW do people prefer?

I thought i would like to see which TW game the TWC prefers more, either ETW or Napoleon TW. Because to me, I don't care for ETW at all, NTW is the only thing that matters to me. But the reason for asking this is that NTW will be getting many more cool features then ETW, and members are unhappy that NTW will get these things and ETW will not. Well thats bad luck I say, NTW should be a bigger and moe important game then ETW. But thats my opinion, whats yours?

Well, I really liked Empire. Prior to 1.4 patch there were quite a few bugs (CTD, bad ai). But nearly all have been fixed and I am very happy with Empire Total war.

However, Napoleon total war looks to be Empire x2. I can't wait for the game and it will be the TW I prefer.

So my vote goes for Napoleon. It looks to be really awesome and have much more detail and variety between countries. I'm looking forward to it very much. I don't care whether or not it gets integrated into Empire. Once napoleon comes out, the hours per 2 weeks I play on Empire will drop to 0 and the hours per two weeks I play on Napoleon will be 500.

Personally, I think CA should continue to polish and improve Empire (BAI, unit tweaks/balances, and multiplayer), instead of releasing DLCs and focusing its development efforts on Napoleon.

I've never had an avid interest in the Napoleonic Wars, as the conflicts in the 18th century are more interesting to me (The Seven Years War, War of the Spanish Succession, American War of Independence, Great Northern War etc)

Medieval Total War (the original).

NTW isnt out yet.

My opinion is that we should get the game we paid for, not slapped in the face with a "new and improved" game that should have been what ETW never was.

For me, I am only interested in ETW. I paid for ETW and expected a good well-rounded game with everything working as we were told it would work.

I don`t like feeling like I bought a half-complete, 2nd rate project that was abandoned for a new project. especially, when I cannot sell that failed project or get a refund. It`s unacceptable. At the least, those of us who bought ETW should be given an apology and given NTW for free to make up for it since it`s quite obvious they`re trying to make NTW what ETW should have been.

However, it was the FULL grand campaign I wanted, so ultimately I would want ETW FIXED in all key areas, BAI, SIEGES and any other little corrections such as the ability to repair my own Forts and the CAI ability to retreat from overwhelming numbers.

NTW should not have even been announced until ETW was fixed fully.

I'm sitting on the fence at the moment. When the time nears towards Napoleon's release I'll probably make a decision then, but at the moment I'm happy to play ETW on a sporadic basis. I thought the game was really bad after release, but following the patches it's now at least playable, and on ocassions very enjoyable.

I find the Napoleonic Wars a lot more interesting than the 18th Century, but then again these are not periods of history I have much interest in anyway. I do find the idea of playing a 'scripted' campaign rather interesting, as CA have never tried anything of this sort before, so I'm curious to see how that turns out.
Then again from what I've seen from trailers and screenshots, the game doesn't really look remarkably different from Empire in many ways - beyond new uniforms and slightly different looking interface.

I also think that CA has grown terribly bored of Empire. They've been working on it since Rome: Total War was released five years ago, and I'm sure they want to move on to other grounds. There isn't much they really can do to Empire to improve it in my view. Even if they tweak the AI here or improve sieges etc, it will still be the Empire that many people love to hate. I don't thinking people actually want tweaking. I think a lot of Empire's detractors want it to be completely overhauled - to be torn to pieces and built anew, as many of its problems seem to exist at a fundamental level.

I hope napoleon TW brings real chaos and carnage to the battle field.

NTW and ETW should both get the new stuff !!! Because i bought ETW, and I want play it more and more with new stuff, same thing when i buy NTW.

I shall reserve my position until NTW is released and we see how it plays out.

NTW deserves attention. Splitting attention on both will make NTW crappy and ETW not as wanted. Go after 1 rabbit only: Napoleon.
