RTRPE Full Install crash + restart serious error
After taking a year-long break from RTR PE to play other things, live in the real world, and etc etc. I've decided to reinstall the old warhorse.
Imagine my dismay to discover that every time I scroll to the northeast corner of the campaign map, the Scythian regions north and east of the Caspian Sea, my entire system crashes, restarts, and then informs me that it has recovered from a serious error. Every time.
Windows error reporting helpfully suggests that I remove any new hardware and roll back new device drivers to locate the problem, but since I've updated literally EVERY driver, and installed quite a fair bit of new hardware in the last year, I was hoping that this is a known issue and someone could help me save quite a bit of time.
Or even if someone could tell me what is unique about the upper right hand corner of the campaign map that makes it different from the rest of the map - since I scroll to my heart's content everywhere else with no issues whatsoever.
It should also be noted that I have had no issues with TIC, having played that off and on over the last year with no such crashes at all.
Please help and thank you.

For what it`s worth, I`ve never heard of it, sorry. Crashing is one thing. It could have been a video issue with larger map regions or something like that. But resetting your whole system that`s really drastic and I haven`t heard of it to be provoked just by this game or just by certain mods and not to be a general problem of the entire system.

Re: RTRPE Full Install crash + restart serious error
I know. But I have no problems with TIC, or with vanilla, or with any other program. At least not that I can find.
I'm downloading a new copy of Platinum since mine is from just after the most recent came out. Perhaps it has become corrupted in some particularly nasty way. I have moved the file around quite a bit from disk drive to disk drive. I'll change over to the mod-switch version and see if that makes a difference. Might as well re-install TIC while I'm at it, too.
