    Default help with crash on heavily modded BC1

    (also postend in MTW tech help)

    Having a persistent and very irritating crash in a heavily modifed game of BC1 (as the KOJ). End of crash report below.

    Crash is 16 turns into the game, on Ghazni (Venice) or Kwazarhim (Spain) turn.

    I removed triggers from EDCT, Ancillaries, and descr_faction_standing (because so the last error message), one at a time and all three at the same time, but still get the crash.

    I also change quantity of family members from 3 to 4 and back again. I had 'has family tree' as 'no' on desc_sm_factions (so the AI doesn't die suddenly upon loosing leader and heir). Switched all to yes.

    Still getting the crash. Any help greatly appreciated.

    (end of error log)

    This seems to be quite a racist comment. The Guals did a lot more than "wonder around pillaging";
    It's not as if they were a bunch of dirty, stinking, fatherless Huns.

    If you still play 1.0 or 1.05 I suggest you move on BC 2.02, because no one here will support old version.

    Second thing is you are the only person who knows what has been changed in the files. I'd suggest restoration of backed-up files instead of further modification.

    I'm not sure what was the purpose of removing those triggers...

    It may be that you've overlooked some impotant dependancies between the files - and that's why you have problems now. I suggest reading all needed guides (I you haven't done this yet).
