why does that make anysense, i mean Rohan allied with them...even thats not rue i guess, they really acted on their own i guess, they should just be all around mercs then

No they should not be mercs. They would for because they've done so in the First Age, because they have a long friendship and because they love the trees like they do. Not to mention that they actually helped to defend Lorien from the orcs.
And they did not ally with Rohan. They helped them because Gandalf asked Treebeard to do so and because they hate orcs.

Precisely! I think that they should not be mercs at all. If we actually make them a faction in the way they describe, they can start with outstanding/perfect relations with Sindar Elves, so that if the Sindar Elves approach them diplomatically, they would then more easily become allies.

If rohan had been cutting down there forest then they might have been slightly more gentle at their approach maybe more diplomatic but probably woulda pwned em like isengard

No, the response would be identical! They don't care about who's cutting their forest, they care only about the fact that their forest is being cut and they would attack anyone who would do that! In the game, this is equivalent to another faction having Fangorn forest.

No, they didn't.
And for Rohan, Galadriel is a witch, and ents are almost trolls.

On a small side note, any general holding Fangorn can get an ancillary called "Ent drought", which I thought was pretty damn cool Got it on my Gondor general who was commanding a mere 3 units after he took Fangorn from Isengard, sent him reinforcements later and reclaimed Isengard for Gondor

Anyway, they're still very powerful, even more than Trolls & they can win you a critical battle. Considering the lack of shock units on the Silvan roster that's very useful when facing armored baddies & other big units.
They're very good at trampling Nazguls & BN knights, for example or kicking Troll butts.

As for the "Ent Drougth" ancillary Yeah, pretty cool. I had it with Haldir.

I wonder ..., is it possible to make certain units more prone to damage from fire arrows? (apart from armour and HP in general, like a trait/script or something) It would make it more realistic for Ents to have this...

I do not think Ents should be recruitable for Rohan, because I can't see Ents living in castles and Cities. Leave them to their foresty Elven regions - better realism.
