Parthia horses to strong?
I was playing a Bactria campaign, and when I sieged one of there towns there were only one unit of generals bodyguard. So i went in with the Persian hoplites thinking a was going to take them down pretty easy. Nope, they snuff'd them out. Then I send in some phalangites and they won the battle, but not before losing 1/4 of them. I don't mind its still fun playing, but come on 1 unit of hoplites couldn't take down cavalry. Any body experienced this?

I believe that campaign was in M/M settings.

If it's an experienced general I don't consider that impossible. Those cataphracts are the only cavalry unit to do serious damage to phalanx type units ...
