My machine decided to take a hike down the highway to hell. Conveniently enough, I don't think the guys I purchased it from included a Disc set. All my efforts so far has sent me to this tool they have, which frankly doesn't work. The tool has reached the conclusion that it can't fix my problem.
Maybe the problem is external, in that case I think the graphic-card is the culprit. One week ago the driver crashed, but it restarted again shortly afterwards. Now I have this weird blue pattern on my screen, but would a graphic card disrupt startup? I can only start sucesfully in safety-mode.
But anyways, how do I boot from the D partition in Vista? As I have understood its use it should in theory re-install vista? It's conspiciously small though...
Oh, and in the case I am supposed to boot from a disc I have miscplaced, how should I proceed? Is my only option either illegal or buying a new OS? Alternately dl'ing Linux?
