Will be buying it the instant I see it on Steam. If I had the gamersgate version already, i'd have pre-ordered.

    The game changes look great.

This expansion is too good not to buy if you play EU3.

I'll probably get it later, when some modders make it so there is some kind of WWM type of mod for it

i'm sure WWM will play on it eventually, but really it doesn't matter at this point. It adds too much to the game and WWM is beta and doesn't add much other than removing PTI which, frankly, isn't all that important.

Doesn't Heir to the Throne also remove PTI? I thought they said there will be no more ugly white blotches on the map, just some territories can't be developed. I've never understood the appeal of WWM in that respect, since PTI is history and gameplay correct about places feasible for habitation during that period. Only reason I could see wanting those provinces is if you played some nation like Mali, or abuse the BB wars for world conquest which is gamey.

Provided I ever get the money definitely, I might end of playing a version of my friends for now.

It removed PTI but the provinces still are unusable.

WWMs removal of PTI is good for ahistorical colonizers, like Ming for example. It makes sense in that regard because obviously if ming was a colonial power at least a much as the netherlands they probably would have colonized territories that would be in PTI in vanilla such as australia. WWM adds lots of other things as well, some which are fixed in HTTT, such as equalizing different tech group units. It also adds a number of events and decisions and its trade and trade goods model is far superior than vanilla. In fact additions to colonies by themselves in WWM make the mod worth it. They add a number of features to the games colonial system that it needed. Lots of revolter nations for every culture and region as well.

The mod is basically like a Vanilla+, if you like vanilla but hate mods like MMP you will like WWM. I will play it for HTTT as soon as it comes out for that, but i can play HTTT without it.

I'll make sure to check it out once they port then. I do like MMP though, just don't play it all the time. I'd count myself as someone who thinks that IN made EUIII a game that is perfectly fine unmodded, HTTT will only make it even more so, and any modded changes will really just be difference of opinion on how something should work rather than unequivocally better.

    No, overpriced.

$20 is overpriced? Most expansions for games that were price 40-50 for the original are $30. What kind of strange logic are you using to say that this is overpriced?

Can you possibly get your head any further up Paradox' ass?

First of all, it's an 15mb DLC, not an expansion. Secondly, the games you're referring to require 10 times the manpower, 10 times the budget, and 10 times the amount of work.

And it's €20 for me, $30 in other words.

Oh so just because Johan is a hack coder and codes in assembler or whatever that makes the code 10x smaller (and runs 10x faster) makes it less worthy than the coding that makes total war games run slow (but makes their exes big?).

The simple fact is, you spend a little bit of extra money so you're just like instead of... damn I wish this feature did this.

NA made the game run tons faster.
In massively improved the ai and added lots of awesome features and made rebels way better
This is adding some features that are gonna make a lot of nations a lot more interesting, as well as making the ai smarter.

    All=worth it.

considering its 15mb and the main response from Johan on the Paradox forum is "Sorry we spend time making deep games" i fail to see how 15mb is worth 20 dollars....cause your basically paying for codes that a modder could come up with given time...and you can get that for free

...i suppose you bought all the skin pack DLCs for HOI3 since you worship the ground Paradox walks on and whatever they make is pure gold?

If a modder can come up with colonial ranges, decisions, dynasties and cassus belli's then why didn't they?

Oh and by the way its a 15mb download because of compression, the actual size of the content is something like 75-100mbs. Same with IN as well I believe. Just thought we should get our facts straight!

    Installed and running.

My first game in HTTT was epic failure. Played as Epirus and got conquered by Naples a year in after they decided to declare Reconquest CB on me. Loving this CB system already!
