Did it ever happen to anyone here on GC?

And attack!
Never tried but it sounds logical.
It happend a lot more in good old MTW1, it seems more frequent in MTW2 also. In RTW it has happend a few times during sieges, but that's because I provoked it myself by attacking a city an ally was sieging. 3 way battles are hilarious when they happend though, I always stay back to enjoy the show and then I finish off the leftovers.
It happened occasionally in RTW when I was playing any northern europe faction, mainly because the regions are smaller there.
I have only had it once in MTW2, When I was playing as Scotland and Sicily (my ally) was being surrounded by the Turks and Mongols.
(Sicily got their asses kicked btw, I had to help them.)
Okay that was a fourway. never had threeway in MTW2
Do you mean allies or just three armies, in a free for all? I think that is impossible, not sure.
Rest in peace, Calvin.

I would love to have 3-5 way free for all battles![]()
My friend once had a Gaul vs. Julii vs. Greeks battle with him as the Greeks, and no one was allied. He won.
Yeah I provoked it once myself. Armenia, Pontus and Rebels if I am correct.
EDIT - Me being the mighty Armenia ofcourse.
We Came, We Saw, We Ran Away!
Once in the beginning of my Scipii campaign. The Carthaginians conquered Syracuse, but a Greek army was still hanging out near the city. When I attacked a Carthaginian army that had left the city, the Greeks helped me. I'm not sure whether I was already allied with the Greeks, but I think so - must have been, otherwise I would have had to fight them as well, right?
As the Brutii I once sparked a fight between Macedon and Greece to make a Brutii + Macedon V Greece battle.
Everything the State says is a lie, everything it has is stolen.
State is the name of coldest of all the cold monsters. Coldly it lies; and this slips from its mouth: "I, the state, am the people"
I think the OP means free for all, because in battles between 2 ally armies vs 1 enemy, 1 of the ally army counts as a reinforcement, so if you attempt a night attack, they won't appear.
When i was the Greek States and i was allied with the Macedons and we had both a war with the brutii, besieging apollonia and the macedons joined me. Was quite funny, but you can't betray your allies in battle i think, only hit them by accident with onagers or ballista's i think. Or arrows ofcourse.
@BI you can stop all reïnforcements by preforming a night attack indeed, very handy when alot of half stacks are placed next to each other or when you try to defeat hordes. They won't get reïnforcements (you also by the way).
