Just put them in the same army then drag them to the portrait of the general with space.

you can trade most retinue and overseer titles, but not crowns and banners

It has been discussed a few days ago, but sometimes it is not easy to find what you search (if you employ other words, don't speel correctly etc, your search will fail). Be aware that a character stripped of his titles will loose loyalty the 1st time, and even more loyalty the 2nd time.

No they only get offended when you remove their last title, no problems till then.

Oh I see what you were trying to say now. If you'd said 'stripped of all their titles' in the first place then it wouldn't have been so ambiguous. Especially with the following sentence advising on multiple transgressions, it adds the the impression that you're suggesting that with each title removed the player will incur a penalty to loyalty.
