Default Broken Crescent Units for SS

So this has been posted before (I verified that), however a recent development in my opinion allows a repost / rerequesting of this.

Is there any modder who can transfer the Broken Crescent units for certain factions to SS?
Because SS is historically inaccurate with most of the eastern factions i thought this could be a nice change to SS.

The factions that could be transferred are:

    Broken Crescent: Stainless Steel:
Eastern Roman Empire (ERE) -> Byzantine Empire
    Ayyubid Sultanate -> Fatimid Caliphate
    Turkish Sultanate -> Turkish Sultanate
    Kwarezm Shah -> Kwarezmian Empire
Kingdom of Jerusalem -> Kingdom of Jerusalem

There is however a catch, only AlphaDelta's Units have been cleared for use,
which means that the available unit list is as follows:

    AlphaDelta states:
They were made by me of course.
Anyone can feel free to use my models/skins from BC for any M2TW project. That's basically every unit that in the game that isn't a Ghulam, byzantine, the new Indians and a handful of new crusader units because they're the ones made by Strelac.

For future reference here's a rough list of all the factions I produced and in brackets the units I didnt make.

    Ayyubids
    Oman
    Georgia
KoJ (exceptions: New Crusader units found in the BC2.0 preview)
    Sindh
    Ghorids (exceptions: Ghorid Ghulams)
    Abbassids
    Armenia (exceptions: Turkopoles and vishaps)
    Kypchaks
    Seljuks (exceptions: Ghulams)
    Makuria
Rajputs (exceptions: New units found in BC2.0 preview)
    Khwarezm shah
    Turks
Ghazni (exceptions: Ghazni ghulam archers and ghazni ghulam spearmen)
    Levy units

If anyone is unsure whether the work is mine, take a screenshot of the unit, send it to me, and I'll tell you if I made it and subsequently if you can use it in your own M2TW project.

The only considerations are this: A) you do not use the work in a non M2TW project B) You dont sell the work C) You credit me the author of the textures/model components.

BC has been closed up tighter than a fish's a-hole for far too long and it's time to change.

    Cheers
This means that the byzantines ,new crusader units and Ghulams are not available, as strelac (who made them) has not (yet) cleared those, but the others are available.

Normally i would do this myself, but at this moment im tied up in university and my gaming pc has broken down, leaving me only my bitty laptop.. on which M2TW isnt installed (and wont function)

So all i can do is post a request, anyone able / willing to give this kind of submod a try? maybe combine with battle of the baltic and other submods.... though that is wishful thinking but it might be very interesting to see the results of that.

    Cheers, Themis

3rd post, i was unable to quote him because the thread was locked, but here is the link, he posted it yesterday.

Also the 4th post is of note:

Furthermore, the ridiculous 'ban' on mini-mods (that never should have been in place) is over now. Lets get a sub-forum setup wudang and start encouraging the community to pitch in and make the changes they want to see.

    Cheers

I really hope some of the units can be incorporated into SS. I love BC, it's one of the best mods ever and mostly due to the awesome units.

The Georgia units are top notch aswell as the ERE. Great news......Exactly what I was hoping for with changes happening at BC.

you should continue reading that thread, its far from a done deal. However, having BC units in the middle east would be sweeeeet.

Yes, I would love to see new units for the Cursader States, Turks and Egypt (especially the Mamlukes)

I assume if PB and company want to do this, then Georgia should be able to be included in no time

If BC gives the go-ahead, Georgia will be priority #1, followed b other ME factions

What do you mean by that, you replace the other ME factions with the BC ones?

(i would ask you to do byzantium.... but damn we need strelacs permission! ERE is my favourite in BC... no offense delta, roman fanboi here )

CBUR is already in RR/RC, so no need to add BC Romans.

Of all those, the ones I'd personally like to see most are the BC Khwarezmshah's roster, a combination of some Ayyubid and some Abbasid units for the Fatimids (they were still the Fatimid Caliphate at the start of the early era campaign, the Ayyubid takeover didn't occur until the late 1100s, though Ayyubids would be appropriate for the Late era campaign), the BC Turks roster for the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum (also has some Ottoman {Osmanli Beylik} units for late campaign). The BC Kypchaks' roster for the Cuman Kha'anate. Some Makurian units as local AoR for the southernmost Egyptian province, some Omani units as AoR for the Eastern Arabian Peninsula (Sharjah, etc.) and some low-end Seljuk units as AoR in Iran. I think the CBUR units are fine for the Romans, and actually are a bit more historically correct for the time period (the BC Romans are an earlier {9th-10th century}iteration of the Roman roster).

I disagree because personally I prefer BC's Romans... they just look more appealing to me

Faction limit is 31 so they can still add another one

My personal favorites are the Mamluke units and the Jannissaries, although the Georgian Monaspas are really nice.

How about using the BC AOR units? that would add a very unique atmosphere to those areas.

I think those are Strelac's units, if you are referring to the ones in v 2._ . The suggestions I made for AoR units took into account which units were OK'd for use by AD.

Sorry, I should have been more clearI meant the AOR Levy units which I believe AD made. ( I have always liked AOR levies, don't know why.)
