Default Can't set ownership to 'nobody'

I have a unit for example: lancers

It has the ownership 'france' and if I take that word out the game can't start.

If I take out etra ownerships of other units the game goes perfectly. So... what must I do? Raplace it for 'rebels' or 'slave'?

I wan't to take out the lancers from the France's custon battle and campaign units.

I don't want them in any of both.

And why touch the EDB? If I'm not mistaken I took out a unit from the campaign with only editting the EDU...

if you take it out of the EDU then you take it out of a custom battle as well. if you want it totally taking it out of the EDB makes it so you cant recruit it in a campaign. there has to be an ownership though, rebel or slave. if no other factions use it. you could take it out of the battle_models file as well. but i think that would just for good "housekeeping"

I experimented some results already. If you take the unit ownership from the EDU it isn't recruitable in both custom battles and campaign. But it is still in the settlement's garrison. I have to check if the can combat, cause if they are in the garrison and lack the ownership... it mey lead to crush.

But well, I got my initial answer, I have to add 'rebels' or 'slave'.

For a unit to be viable in the EDU, it has to have at least one faction in the 'ownership' line, else a CTD will occur..

If you wish to keep the entry, but want to disable the availability, simply put a semi-colon ( ; ) in front of each line and remove (or disable with a semi-colon) all references to that unit in the EDB, descr_strat, campaign_script and descr_rebel_factions.
