so you will use no moved ancillary for titles, yes?

EDIT: btw, here is dHRR topic about titles http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=223878

Thanks for the link, it appears to work as I had suspected.
That could be a project on it's own - taking up a long time for creating and testing - but I love challenges!
But the whole mod spans only 30 years - might use it for another mod.

English Game Version: english textfiles and english sound (speech) files
German Game Version: german textfiles and german sound (speech) files

1648 installation: german textfiles included as well as general sound and music files - speech will remain as per your installation. (I still hose myself with laughter when my Habsburg leader speaks german accented English - my version is english)

Nope, and the medieval german is in fact closer to dutch than german in grammar, while the words are mixed (perhaps even 50-50 german-dutch). I think that you will understand more of the medieval german with a dutch background than with a german one. (Although this mod is 150 years later).

Yes, it works with FatherTrait and the "House of.." Trait. The ancillary is there to keep the titles factionwide unique without the need to use the script itself (and to boast about my skills in heraldy ).

I don't think that this would be of much interest for a 17th Century mod because feudalism didn't really play a role in the 30YW. Something you might find of interest could be the Regimental Recruitment mod I have made for FKoC: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=343221

    Regimental Recruitment = basically -->
    monitor_event FactionTurnEnd FactionIsLocal
    set_event_counter governor_present 1
    end_monitor

    monitor_event SettlementSelected GovernorInResidence
    and FactionIsLocal
    set_event_counter governor_present 1
    end_monitor

    monitor_event SettlementSelected not GovernorInResidence
    and FactionIsLocal
    set_event_counter governor_present 0
    end_monitor
and then the entry in EDB, correct?

Unfortuantly not. This falls under the problem explained here: This counter, or better the recruitment pool, is not updated during the turn but only on turn end.

You need three monitors per "regiment" and one "if" each per settlement affected:

    Code:
    monitor_event SettlementSelected GovernorInResidence
     and GovernorAttribute Violence = 3
     and FactionIsLocal
     and TrainingQueueIdleDespiteCash

     if I_SettlementSelected Oxford
     set_recruit_pool Oxford_Region 1 royalist glemham musketeers
     set_recruit_pool Oxford_Region 1 royalist glemham pikemen
     end_if

    (...)

    monitor_event SettlementSelected GovernorInResidence
     and FactionIsLocal
and not GovernorAttribute Violence = 6

      if I_SettlementSelected Oxford
     inc_recruit_pool Oxford_Region -3 royalist king musketeers
     inc_recruit_pool Oxford_Region -3 royalist king pikemen
     end_if

    (...)
    end_monitor

    monitor_event SettlementSelected not GovernorInResidence
     and FactionIsLocal

     if I_SettlementSelected Oxford
     inc_recruit_pool Oxford_Region -3 royalist king musketeers
     inc_recruit_pool Oxford_Region -3 royalist king pikemen
     inc_recruit_pool Oxford_Region -3 royalist glemham musketeers
      inc_recruit_pool Oxford_Region -3 royalist glemham pikemen
     end_if

    (...)
    end_monitor end_monitor

Ah yes, I remember the 'violence' thingy for characters. MAkes it kind of complicated, but it is worth it - I remember struggling with my earlier idea in PDeR.
    Thanks for clearing that up.

On another note, could you have a look at the problem here? I am sure it is something logical, most likely using an event that doesn't export the right argument or something like that.

In 1648 you might get even "cheaper away" than me in FKoC because I don't think that you actually have different regiments of foot to be recruited by the same faction. That way you could have one ancillary Obristenpatent that would allow this character to recruit infantry, and another one to recruit cavalry.

    Yes, i have a suspicion. I'll take a look.

Hey guys, i mean the 1648 - Der dreissigjährige Krieg team, just saw this thread randomly, as i viewed the TWC forum.

Please make sure to have a frontpage announcement when the mod is released, this mod is a sure reason for me to activate M2TW again

I myself wanted to realise somewhere in the past this historical theme, i'm amazed to see that now. Thank you.

P.S. Had a short look in the TWF as well ... nice try with the 1. April thread ... in the first moment without looking at the date, i thought "What? Wow"

Mainz, perhaps because it is normal on this site to speak english? I always speak english even with other dutchies here. That way others can understand it (although I can understand your german as well )
