    Default Byzantine Kingdoms units in main campaign

    I've got a bare_kingdoms modfolder and I want to put the new Byzantine units in their correct places in the main campaign tech tree. I think there's four units that need to be moved, Alamanoi (Greatswords!), Pronoai Infantry, Archon-something-or-other (More cataphracts!) and everyone's favorite, Greek Fire (Boo-Yeah!)
    This will only be a temporary thing, while I'm waiting to get permission from the CBUR team to use their units.

    Well I'd like money and infinite space on my computer and... oh. right. Well, I'd like to get those four units into my mod. For the Byzantines. Please.

    no Flavius you can post your work freely, in the mod threads wips or released. You do need permission for it to be hosted though, remember what Swagger is suggesting is not the whole mod itself. just simply the edu ( exsport_desc_units) but then I pressume you will be expected to make all the entries into the EDB (exsport_desc_buildings) and do the skinning and ui cards. I think he is simply suggesting he`ll help you get started but,
    good luck!
    my advice if your mod is about the late Roman empire and want to give more regions, do so!
    but for realism I would change the public order numbers for those settlements

    he'll need to edit battle_models.db, EDU, EDB and then add the models and skins in the right folder

    ok so what you are going to want to do is find where your units are located first. its going to be data/unit_models/_units/something (i dont have cbur so i dont know) you can find your 4 units and move them to your new mod folder or just copy the whole folder to your mod folder and delete everything that isnt your 4 units. deleting might prove easier when you have to change the battle_models file. before you start deleting things though open up the battle_models file and (assuming you use notepad) use the find function to look for your first unit i will look something like this

    red is the MESH files you need. dont delete them. blue is the texture files you need. dont delete them either. using this 67 unit_models/_Units/ES_Greek_Greek_Heavy/byzantine_lancers_lod0.mesh 121 will tell you where the model is located. same for the texture and attachment files. you will also need the sprite file. you can see where that is in pink. use the copy and delete thing or put it in a created folder that is EXACTLY the same.

    now all thats left is the battle_models file, EDU and EDB files. this is just simple copy and paste. find the entries in the cbur battle_models again and copy it to your battle_models. same for the EDU. the EDB is a bit more tricky. but its still easy. with the battle_models and EDU you can just paste at the bottom, in the EDB you need to put it in a particular spot. if you attach that i can help you better.
