    Default Rising Sumer

A real preview will come by time

    Whatch out here:
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=319181
Well since barely three weeks, one of my ideas is going to get a face:

It will be a ALX -mod.

    • Timeframe will be: 2550 BC until 2334BC

    • Factions they are intended:
    • Ken-Gír (Sumerian Culture)
    • ,
    • Elam (here Susa),
    • Makkan
    • ,
    • Indus-Civilisation,
    • Old Empire of Egypt,
    • Krití (Early-Minoan-Period-Culture).
    • I planned to add the Old-Cyprian-States (also as one faction...).

I guess, these are widely all civs at that timeframe which can be played as a faction.

First idea to name this mod was "Total War- The Beginning", because first nations were rising up and fought against each other...

The campaign map spreads out from Egypt to India and from Northern Africa to Southeast-Europe and Kazakhstan... great parts of that map will be just wilderness.

Definite unit set-plan already exists for Ken-Gír (Sumerian States):

    • Sumerian Slingers
    • Sumerian Squirmishers
    • Elite Archers of Uru-Mari
    • Sumerian Mace-Militia
    • Sumerian Kopesh-Warriors
    • Spearmen of Uru-Úr
    • Spearmen of Uru-Lagash
    • Royal Guard
    • Sumerian Onager-Chariots or Cow-Chariots

    A short describtion:

At 2550 BC had begun the early bronze-age since 500 years first in Mesopotamia, developed by the sumerians. In opposite of europe, they founded cities and had a comparatively high tech level.
They were neither semits like later factions nor kaukasian Hurriti. Like their eastern neighbours Elam, their genesis is unknown.
Known promis of that age and its cultures are Gilgamesch and Nimrod, besides the tower of "Babylon". The neobabylonian tower within the city of Bab-Ilu wasn't original. The historic "Babylonian Tower" is much older! And was one of the Zikkurats at Sumers age, were Gilgamesh and Nimrod reigned. Some say, Gilgamesh and Nimrod are the same person...

Makkan was a semitic, pre-arabian trading-nation between the citystates of Sumer and the citystates of Indus-Civilisation. Makkan sold their copper sources to them.

Indus-Culture also Indus-valley-civilisation, Har(r)appa-civilisation, or Civ. of Mohendsho-Daro are the first indian high-rising nation between 2500BC and 1800/1500 BC. Har(r)appa and Mohendsho-Daro are the first and most well-known habitats. An endemic name of this culture does not exist, because noone had encoded their script.

I don't think many (Including Myself) know much about this period so a little more information is needed.

Ha! I was hoping someone would take up the challenge of making a mod for this timeframe, I've looked into this critical part of human history, but theirs always more to learn.

Please go through with this, I'll help if you need (research, I can't mod to save my life)

I think this would work better with Medieval II, but whatever you do with the mod is your choice.
