Re: Speed this mod up?
I think it`s a mater of fps.
I have the same problem some times in battles, because i play on huge number of units in game.
To go faster betwen turn swich off the folow AI movments in options.
What you realy need is more RAM and maby a beather PC.
Take my word for it.
Cheers mate

Re: Speed this mod up?
Top tip for avoiding campaign screen lag: Deselect characters or armies before trying to move around the map.

Re: Speed this mod up?
My battles are okay. And I don't have anything selected when I scroll over the map. And I have the show AI movement off. The turns are just slow and when I finish a battle the map lags when scrolling again. When the script options come up on the first turn I even turn them off and I chose the every faction at total war option so it would go faster through the turns. And when I quit a campaign it takes a while to shut down. I really enjoy this mod when it is my turn after I have rescrolled through the map. Oh well, I guess I will have to alot myself some time to really enjoy this mod. Thanks anyway mates.

Re: Speed this mod up?
the major problems are the campaign_script
lines like wait_monitor and others (wich names i can't remember) are the worst

Re: Speed this mod up?
The way to fix that is to play vanilla...
EDIT:
Robroy, have you tried reinstalling DLV? It might help.
The issue you describe of a slowdown after a battle is very very odd. Never heard of that before. It's certainly not 'caused by scripts'. The slower turn times are really not that slow, they used to be much slower, and so was my PC, but it was bearable.
How long does an 'end turn' take?
What processor, graphics card, how much ram and what operating system do you have?

Re: Speed this mod up?
I have a similar prob as well, I think the graphics of campaign map is the reason. I have a system: chipset E8400, VGA 9500GT and 2GB ram however it takes a much longer time to load a turn than SS and other mods, maybe DLV is programmed more independently or some how.

Re: Speed this mod up?
How long does a turn take (in minutes)?
I wonder because although DLV is the most heavily scripted mod and also has the most factions of any m2tw mod, it does not seem slow to me. I expected SS to run a lot faster but it doesn't. TA:TW on the other hand actually is much faster, but that's a comparatively much smaller mod.
