Does it normally take 30 minutes + to update a PS3? I mean this is just a simple patch, its not like i'm installing a 2003 copy of windows XP and telling it to install everything on windows update.

To me it takes about 15 minutes (regular updates), the total amount of time counting the download time to a USB device and installation in my PS3.Originally Posted by Kanaric

On our internet it would take up to an hour.
It all depends on your internet, but if you have ADSL2 it shouldn't take that long

yeah mine often did.. depends on your internet, size of the update, how many updates there are and how many people are updating at the same time. can take a while
