Default In Rome's greatest General we must trust.

Marcus walked to the rostra in his white toga. He was going to give the people a speech. Telling them the truth about the ongoing events in the curia.

Citizens of Rome, I stand here as a fellow citizen and as a Senator.
I speak here because of anger and disbelief to the senate. Yes you heard my words.
The senate is full of old men, men who but only seeks for glory to them self and not for the best of the republic.

To prof this I will tell you how these old men tried to kill Rome's finest General, Celsus!
The same man who liberated Italy form the greek king Phyrrus. The same man who traveled all over the Adriatic sea to face the Epirot army at it's own soil. Celsus tough heavily outnumbered defeated the greek army and seized there lands in the name of Rome!

Celsus who didn't even ask for a Triumph for himself, nor did he request those who doubted him to ask for forgiveness. And still are these old men trying to arrest him and execute him.
People of Rome do we tolerate this behavior form the men who are supposed to administrate our city for the best of it's people.

He paused, waiting for the reaction from the crowd.

No we do not, and we should never do so. He continued.

Citizens, make your stand. Tell them that they act wrong, that Celsus should be unharmed or they would get a worse treatment from you. Make them understand that they are but greedy old men.

    Flavius stands,

"That man defied our most noble senate.. If he hath no respect for us, then what respect will he have for Rome?"

OOC: Rome's on fire, I don't think anyone's listening to your pretty speech apple, although that's what makes it 10x more hilarious . That by design?

OOC: Thanks, Apple, you touched my heart. Oh, and after being in YATS with the same name for a year, everyone should know by now that it's Celsus. No 'i'.

It wasn't when I wrote it.

Petronius rose his voice, to whatever croud was around them,

"You mean the man who worked with the man who brought this upon us?!" he said, pointing at the fires that could be seen at the distance, the snakes that crawled on the floor.

"Thousands have died because Pallas is here, in Rome! And who has been an ally to him, all this time?! Do not let them fool you, Romans! Celsus is as guilty of this as that snake! Celsus is no different from him, remember that!" as he said those words, he felt a burning touch on his foot, one that began to increase in intensity, becoming an unstoppable pain that rose to his leg, and thigh, and across his entrails, all over to his head. His vision began to fade. He looked down, only to see a tiny white snake showing her teeth to him, victorious.

He fell to the ground, looking at the snake's eyes, like a dying animal who challenges his hunter before letting go, then to Marcus. He fell on the floor, and, with his cheek touching the ground, he exhaled for the last time.
