Sacred Band: How to recruit?

I believe the title says it all: Which factions have the sacred band and mostly, which building is necessary to recruit them?

Basically, I have read here and there in the forum about sacred band, but I have never been able to recruit them. In my GCS campaign, I have the 3/4 of the map, I have numerous huge cities with imperial palaces, army barracks, pantheons of every kind of temples, especially Nike (spelling wrong?), but NO sacred band, nowhere I am able to recruit!

Also in my TSE campaign, I am about to build my first Imperial Palace in Antiocheia (spelling?), but from the building browser, still I am unable to find how to recruit Sacred Band. Where the hell are they?

The TSE can't recruit Scared Bands... As for the GCS, IGCS and Carthage you are going to need a Royal barracks...

Sacred band is available for GCS, IGCS, and Carthage, and needs the highest level barracks. TSE gets they're Argyraspid Legionairres as their counterpart highest tier infantry.

I see. Thank you both for your answers. But then, does Sacred Band as a unit worth the huge investment in money and time for Royal Barracks?

Because, for example, I didn't have any problem to deal with the Carthaginean Sacred Band with my Perioikoi Spartans.

If you are in this game for the slaughter, there's really no point in hiring the Sacred Band.

If you are doing also in the name of RPing, then Sacred Band is something every army needs.

Periokoi hoplite is nearly a "Sacred Band" of Sparta (don't court SRG .They are not human).Beside Cartharginian Sacred Band is weaker than normal Sacred Band

If you like the strong and nice army you can use them but if you like fight,fight,fight and slaughter you just need normal hoplite and Thorakitai because they are far easier to train and retrain and with Hoplite you can hire them like mercenery and can retrain them.Thorakitai have better in DEF a bit than Hoplite and they have Pila to throw.Beside they only take 1 turn to train

If you have nothing better to build, I'd set some Royal Barracks down in big cities for RP and flavour. Its not economical, but its nice to be able to kill your enemies with more than one type of hoplite.
