    Default On Eriador. a challenge.

Almost wrapping up my campaign on Eriador and actually still struggling as Dwarves, Silvan Elves, Rohan, Dale have allied against me after I chose to support the high elves which came at odds with them. Also at war with Rhun as well.

Eriador is quite a challenge as you have inferior units compared to the other factions. You have to rely on numbers and tactics to overcome the enemy as Dwarves are too strong for a frontal engagement to hold up for long and highly resistant to even Dunedain archer arrows. Elves easily outrange and outclass any missile unit in your arsenal. Your calvary is inferior except for bodyguards which are inferior to other bodyguard units.

The lower class and morale of your army is such that I found myself having to kill some units like Dwarf Iron guard, Dragonslayers, Silvan heavy everything to the last man without them routing. Even with Greenway guard my units would get wittled away in head to head combat. Even when used in multiple regiment masses.

I enjoy the challenge however I was disappointed in the models which are rather bland and not as well textured and designed as other faction units. I assume Eriador will be reworked in the future so there are visually improved models.

I am at 49 provinces and only one left to go.

But what is your point? We all know that Eriador sucks but they are already bussy with making it a verry nice faction.

Actually I was giving Eriador my nod aside from rough modeling. There needs to be more challenging factions in the game that are handicapped to give some a challenge.

Most of those units do not have lock_morale aside from Iron Guard.
