In one of my old campaigns I was Great Britain, and the Marathas declared war on me. I knew they had conquered all of India so they were a real threat. They took a few northeastern American colonies and took London, forcing me to move my capital to Denmark.

And I as Austria watched from my sprawling cities in Florida and Cuba.

Nah, having to fiddle about with them and only talk to 3/4 factions per turn max was boring. You have to imagine that the turn is 6 months. Enough time to send an envoy, make an agreement, and have him come back.

There was no way that a woman could inherit the crown in ottomans. It could be the another man relative of the sultan eg. uncle in most cases, but there was no way a woman...

Playing as Portugal I saw Poland conquer through Prussia into Holland (going around Hannover), then into France and lastly into Spain and Northern Italy.

They must have had the most annoying border to defend, especailly seeing as Austria were still there.


Actually, in the same game I manoeuvred Mysore and GB into a war with each other which resulted in Mysore capturing Jamaica which made for an interesting Caribbean what with Poland occupying the Leeward Isles.

Hi there.
Does conquring the world as France in the year 1854 count? I did that, but then things got too boring.
Besides that, the Marathas owning most of eastern europe, boardering my British western european empire (I controlled Spain, France, entire North Sea area and Skandinavia.

Well I do know that the Brits invade India at some time, however not this early:

I was playing as the Maratha Conf. and was well on my way of taking all of India....most of my armies were north beating back the Mughals and left one Hindu Musketeers at my capitol as the city is usually happy. GB demands money from me....I deny...the next turn they declare war on me and a fair sized British fleet lands a full stack army at my capitol....they attack....

Their semi-professional army (with arty..) failed to take my poorly defended capitol....armed peasants managed to defeat and kill most of the British army....

I would say unrealistic...BUT I wasn't complaining about the victory! Funnel them in the whole they created!!!

In my latest Austria campaign, Italian States has gone crazy and conquered all of western europe destroying France, Savoy, Genoa, United Provinces and Sweden in the process. All this by 1745, AND they just declared war on Marathas who has conquered all of India, the Ottoman Empire and north Africa. Meanwhile Im fighting a war against Russia with Poland (must be the first time ever that they havent hated Austria) and Venice as my allies... LOL

I invaded and took most of North America as the Marthas with an army that consisted mostly of elephants. the Plains Nations put up the best fight, actually. They run fast, it makes the elephants tired, slows down their killing. Still have that one saved, actually...
