    Default Public order rating help?

So I just bought Rome Total War the other day. FANTASTIC GAME. However, I am confused. My settlement details screen show my public order at 95%, but my capital screen says it is 120%. Is it a glitch, or is there one I should believe over the other? Here's a screen:

    Hi there.
I am not sure about this, since it has been a while ago that I last saw this myself. But anyway:
If I am not mistaken, the 95% in the details screen is the basic happyness, while the additional 25% comes from bonuses. Like if your governor has some good traits, or if your head-of-familly has some good overall traits.

P.S. Try to move your governor out of the city to see if the green happyness becomes yellow. If it does, the additional 25% comes from his bonuses.

the only thing i can think of is that the two scrolls aren't from the same settlement. Because there is a lot "distance to capital"-unhappines, and there is the option to make the settlement in the details folder the capital.

Income and growth rate don't match either

I totally agree with eXistenZ. I've had the same thing before and also got a bit confused until I realised that the two screens belonged to different settlements.

    Hi there.
It is the same settlement. And no, there is no reason what so ever for him to not move his capital. The way his empire has espanded, my guess is that Marsallia is his new capital.
But on topic: the influence bonus from the governor is shown in the possitive bar, so all that is not accounted for, is the governors traits and retinues. It is very possible that these has some possitive influence. Other that that, it can only be due to the familly leader.

I never said that he has to move his capital. I said that in the scroll there is "distance to capital"-unhappines, which shouldn't be there in the capital. And Arrretium is clearly his capital. Growth rate and income don't match, so the two screens aren't from the same settlement.

@OP: what is the colour of the face of happines in Arretium?

    Hi there.
    I actually missed that one...
In this case, I admit that it is not the same settlement.

Look at the screen - It says Arretium - Capital.
Then there is the distance to capital unhappiness level on it, not really possible.

Not only is there the distance to capital unhappines but also the button to make this settlement to your capital isn't greyed out.

Also try comparing anything from left to right - population growth, income - not equal aswell.

Just click it everything away and then when you're back at the blank campaign map, right click the city again and it should fit.
If not - then must be something wrong with your installation or it's a bug i haven't encountered yet.

The only thing i can think about is that because he's building the Amphitheatre the public order upon completion will be at 120%. So on the right is showing how many percent public order there will be when all constructions are completed and at the left how many percent there is at the moment.
Im not sure because i never noticed any difference between the two, but if hes sure that this is the right scroll that will be my guess.

You're right. Now that i look at it again, it seems that he accidently opened the wrong scroll.
