Help Installing BC

I found out about this mod recently and have been really wanting to try it. So I figured I would start fresh and uninstall everything (I have MTWII Gold) including the Kingdoms and such.

So I reinstalled everything, upgraded Kingdoms to 1.5 (which I guess upgrades MTWII to 1.3?).
But it still showed that I was playing on 1.2 when I went into MTWII. I found out later that this was common and there was a fix through some download sega offers.

This is where the first error occurred. When I try to download off of this link (http://help.sega.com/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=viewdownload&downloaditemid=216)
I get this message:

"The procedure entry point _AIL_init_stream@16 could not be located in the dynamic link library mss32.dll"

I tried to find something to help but I didn't get anywhere. I figured what the hell, it shows 1.2 but maybe it still plays 1.3. I dont know.

Next step. Install BC 2.0. This went fine, took a while, but it got done.

Install BC Config file for vista (but I'm running Windows XP, so do I need this?), it told me to replace the previous bc config file, so I did. Still not sure if I need this.

Apply patch 2.1 (I installed 2.2 since it says it included 2.1). This also worked.

Then it says locate and delete the map.rwm file. Where the heck is it? I went into data/world/maps/base but I cant find the file? I went into properties and changed it so it would show hidden files, still, no luck.

With all this done (or not done I guess). I try to click on the BC icon and a cmd screen flashes really quick and nothing happens. So I uninstalled everything once again. How do I do this right?

If it shows 1.2 then it is 1.2. Did you install 1.3 patch or not? Because without this BC won't work. I've tried the link, it is usable, I can download the file.
