Thread: Region sizes

    Icon10 Region sizes

they already promised we'll have more regions and provinces, in several different campaigns and everyone knows this yet but how large are these regions?

you probably already have seen the picture from the campaign map, some units from savoy, france and venice. and on the tiny map I think you can see those three factions and spain(lombardy).
you can't see any regions on the top of the minimap so I think it's the italy campaign and you can't see the rest of europe(would be pretty obvious)
but if this is only a small part of italy it should be a enormous map! more regions than any other TW game before. If anyone can recognize the pattern of mountains(for example) and see how large it treuly is, than I hope you will show us .

And if this thread already got created just delete it, I couldn't find it anywhere else so sorry if this is spammy. And, ignore my bad typos and such because I am dutch .

Id say thats northern Italy in the minimap, and considering it hasnt got the bootleg and its not even all of the width of Italy, yes, its huge!

whooow! it rlly is pretty big, I think 2.5 or 3 of those maps is the width of the nortern part of italy.
also noticed the same rivers, that's the way I found it.

More regions also means better mods so that can only be a good thing.

Well even ETW allowed for modded units. If we get lots of regions, one can more realistically reproduce the wars of different eras e.g. France not falling just because 2 regions are lost in the homeland.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think the italian and egypt campaign will have these small regions, and europe will have larger ones, especially russia and scandinavia.

Of course, the 1st GCs will be more in depht and then CA will have no time for making the Mastery of Europe very big, but I still think it will be big enough, bigger than the ETw Europe

ye we can be sure it's bigge than etw, and I also am pretty sure it's bigger then medieval map, if you look at italy only it could have like 50 or more regions if everything is this size.

Im afraid these campaigns will have different map scales, regions. Like the tutorial campaign in RTW.
