Does anyone ever have any luck with Ransom?

Hey All,

Curious, things are starting to pick up in my game, and now I've been in constant confrontations with Scotland, however, I'm wondering, I've won about 4-5 battles against them, and each time I've chosen the ransom button, and each time they decline to pay, and it resorts to executing them. (Wish it gave the option for just release and execute after then, but it's not a big deal)

So, I guess the simple question I have, is does ransom ever really work? or I have just been really unlucky? lol

I can assure you that ransom works. The reason for that AI doesn't want to pay is that it simply don't have money. Try to place yourself in AI situation - when you are attacked after you hit next turn button and your money goes red you can't pay ransom for your troops too.

Ahh very interesting, guess I'll to do it on the more richer factions whenever I start trying to attack them.
