Royal Scots Greys

apparently if you pre-order NTW on steam, even the imperial edition, you get the "Heroes of the Napoleonic Wars" pack aswell as the Royal Scots Greys right...

but the Imperial edition on play.com you get the "Heroes of the Napoleonic Wars" AND the "Elite Regiment" pack but no Royal Scots Greys


The steam one also costing £34.99 when the play.com one costs £29.99

How does this even work out? This isnt thought out one bit.
And im not one of these "i hate DLC" people, believe me i will download whatever they offer me, i just dont want to buy the play.com one and then wait a month or 2 until i can get the Royal Scots Greys...
or vice versa with the steam version and waiting for the "Elite Regiment" pack


I will probably go with the play.com deal, because you get 15 units, the box and everything whereas the steam version you get 11 units for £5 more the price, you do get M2TW with the steam version aswell but lets face it, 90% of the people buying it will probably already have it.
But i will be wanting those Royal Scots Greys

I think its a bonus you get if you buy the game at a specific internet merchant.

I am buying it at game.co.uk and getting extra HMS Elephant.

but i still think i'll go for play.com offer
its the cheapest ive seen the imperial edition.

one thing i love about play.com is the game arrives a day before release... however when i got Empire i discovered that even if you have the disc you cant play it until its available on steam, THAT was annoying...

Yer i totally agree, the scots greys should be inculded in everyones game!

I would like the Scots Greys too but also the elite units pack (Pavlograd Hussars? Yes.), so I hope the elite unit pack is a DLC not just a unique thing to certain retailers. Hopefully they'll clear that up (if it isn't already).

Apprently you can only get the royal scots greys unit from steam and only from steam

We should start a petition, To make the Scot Greys part of the "The Elite Units" package. Not just if you buy it over steam but in Imperial Edition retail.

True, if they want people to buy the game, they should make it accurate, and the right units.

Why leave out Scot Greys, every one loves the Scot Greys, it was a major unit in the Nappie Wars.

You can use the steam back-up option and put the game on disk if you want.

I don't mind as long as I get the Connaught Rangers, and seeing as they're in the "Elite Units" pack, available with any version, I'm fine.

Probably. I mean we got the special forces didn't we?

I am very confident that the modders will have included many nice units fairly son after release. I would like the Scots Greys but I will just get the standard release from Newegg or Amazon, whichever is cheaper a few weeks after release; if the game isn't a mess. Maybe CA will release all of the bonus units a few months down the road as a DLC. At least CA didn't screw us by putting the French Old Guard Grenadiers in the Imperial Edition.
