why cant I find at least ONE bug free All Faction Unlock mod?

i have already download 4 and the lastest one according to every response is running great

am i doing something wrong here? i just take the "startpos" folder and put it in data\campaigns\main like indicated to and i just select ANY faction and the game crashes. can someone please give me a link to a Mod that actually works? maybe an Update is required? maybe i have to crack it? just tell me what do do people because i really want to play as Persia.
i have a Windows Vista business btw

It's not a folder, it's a file. Move your current startpos.esf file out of the game folder and save it somewhere else on your computer. Take the startpos.esf file you downloaded and move it into the spot of the first file you moved. Voila!

1) i download the file and unzip it
2) make a copie of the Startpos file and put it somewhere safe just in case
3) make a copie of the new Startpos file that i just downloaded just in case
4) replace the old Startpos file with the new one i just download

if i did anything wrong in these steps tell me because this is what i have been doing all this time

No, that's fine. Try the startpos file that's an additional mod for Imperial Splendor. It worked perfectly for me.
