empire does not run after modding!! help!!

Hi dudes ,
well, I modded a bit around in the patch.pack with the DBEditor,
but now, when i try to start the game, it always says,
a problem occured, empire total war can`t be run correctly.

I reinstalled it 3 times, but it didnt help..

It was nice if anyone here could give me further instructions..

1. Uninstall ALL contens of empire/steam and the editor too!
2. After uninstalling, look after the folders, if there exist any of them, delete manually.
3. Clean your registry
4. Restart your PC.
5. Reinstall steam and/or Empire Total War.
6. That's it

Did you mess with the scripts folder?If so try deleting that only.I had the same problem and after deleting it it worked.
