Battlefields of Idiots
I just installed 6.2 coming from 6.0 now I find myself yelling at my computer screen. There are numerous issues with pathfinding and units during sieges there are also problems in regular battles. An experience I just played assaulting Cordoba with french and crusader units. other problems happen in field battles.
one major hangup is that units using ladders get up to the wall and get hung up and will not move they fill that section of the wall and then just stand there you cannot try to send them down the wall the only way they will move is if you send them to the ground. it is like there are to many bodies on the wall and they get frozen. The same thing happens if you run many units through the gate to many units through get jammed together and then none of the units can move. Combat on the walls is not exciting againg because units are too tight it looks like a big push fest. I think it is because they are stacked to deep.
Further when some units route they get very seperated from each other I have seen part of the unit like 4 or 5 guys standing inside the gate while the rest of the unit runs off the map. I have never seen this happen before.
I know about the bug where if you select several cavalry units and try to attack one unit and they all go basically wherever they want but it certainly seems worse now. Sometimes I have to select a cav unit and click for them to attack 4 and 5 times and finally they do I dont know if this is a pathing issue or not it was in the city in Cordoba. I have seen similar attack problems in the field where the cavalry runs up and stops 10yds in front of the enemy, that is not a charge and did not happen like that before.
The new exhaustion feature is not for me I would like to be able to reverse that if you could tell me how I understand its your mod but give me another way. I dont think that if a unit becomes exhausted it should stop accepting attack orders that is just dumb. Soldiers get tired all the time but they dont give up I think a better option would be to have them perform worse in combat. it is very frustrating to know a unit is about to break but you cant hit them with another unit because they are all tired. Any unit should be able to run up and stab the enemy in the back. Just doesnt make sense to me.
Another thing on this units getting seperated frequently I see these units getting seperated from both my units and the AIs also. I saw a unit of spearmen that were trying to attack my cav I was using as bait while I shot them up with arrows. the cav was standing still the spearmen stopped probably 40 yds a way and 3 or 4 single spearmen kept running and engaged my cav. That is just silly I dont recall that ever happening in 6.0
I hope you consider fixing these issues I would like to hear from others that are frustrated with seeing the same kind of behavior. Or if I am the only one seeing this in my assaults. Seems to be there are some problems with either the units radius, the animations or the units formations being to tight, Thanks.

hmm, i had similiar issue and then i noticed all units are in Guard mode by default. Not exactly sure if this has something to do with your problem but its possible ...

Re: Battlefields of Idiots
Divinehammer, I suggest you reinstall DLV and you're welcome to try the latest version of my latest work, link in sig.
The issue with units stalling on walls sometimes, it's not fixable only reduceable and considering the unit sizes it does not happen as often as it would with vanilla AI. If you really don't like it then you don't like large unit sizes, use a lower setting and you'll experience less of it.
Units getting seperated and freezing while routing in settlements, again welcome to M2TW - this is what happens sometimes in vanilla and every mod. There is no known way around this one.
Cav not charging when they should never ever happens for me, reinstall.
There is no new exhaustion feature like you describe. So perhaps this is more reason to reinstall.
Units seperated by charging, it will happen exactly the same as (or less than) it did previously in DLV with spearmen and most other units. There is no known improvement and this system of mine is much better than vanilla in this regard.
Retlol, you had a similar issue to what? Which point? All of them? I recommend a reinstall and suggest you try the latest version of my battle system for DLV which is in my minimod.
