Default Knight Commander Banner for my General?

    Hey All,

once again I really appreciate the help for my newbish questions I ask. I really try to keep it to a minimum if possible, and try to search for my answers, but again just cant' seem to find what I'm looking for, so I'll ask again,

Basically, I have a General who now has the rank of Knight Commander, however, he doesn't seem to have the banner that represents that rank. (He's been in the field long enough for him to possibly receive that banner, since I had to trek him across Spain to get to my lands after I made him take part in a crusade.)

Could it be because he still has the old Knight Banner from being a Knight Banneret still in his ancillaries?

If so, do I need to somehow get rid of that banner, so he can get the next one? or Does it update automatically?

If I have to get rid of it, it will be difficult cause I only have 4 nobles of age, my King, Heir, him, and a noble whose a governor, but still the rank of Knight only (And already 65. so he won't be doing much, lol).

    thanks,

8 ancillaries is the max, if the general has a slot free then he just needs to end turn in a friendly settlement. I think that's all there is to it.

Ahh, I think that may be the problem because he got a loads of ancillaries from his crusade and all, so he probably is at max.

    thanks
