    Default Question about Crusading Armies..

    Hey Everyone,

On a little vacation from work for a week, and since I recently beat Assassin's Creed II, it got me all in a medieval mode, so i decided to revisit Deus Lo Vault again and boy am I having lots of fun

I do have a curious question though, and I tried searching for my answer, but maybe cause I've been playing to much or I'm tired, but can't seem to fine my answer, so I figure I will just ask.

I notice, when I'm on a crusade, and a faction already has laid siege to the targeted settlement, whose also part of the crusade, I can't join in the attack, unless I actually ally myself with that faction sieging.

Granted, I was able to accomplish that, as I had good relations with Spain, but it was a little weird that I could not also join in the battle as well, even if we weren't allies, since we are part of the same crusade technically.

So I guess, the question I have, is there any possible way around this? or you have to be allied with the crusading faction in order for you to join in on the attack?

    thanks everyone.

You have to be allied, it is hard-coded. It is not really logical like you said but you can also consider that if you are not allies you may also want to have the crusade benefits for you only, and you don't want your rivals to get the honours... If you can imagine the crusade as a race to the victory, then everyhting is pretty logical

ahh ok the wonderful hard coded deliminas..

You figure after 3 years, they would maybe finally release the source code. Then again, I don't think RTW's source code was even released yet, so it's just wishful thinking on my part, lol.

    thanks for the clarification.
