Im new, And im lost, need some help

Ok so i install it and everything and when i run the launcher and press R for renaissance campaighn nothing happens. but i get a message in the box saying Specify a file name or directory name on the target. I need some help. Yes im a newbie.

Please provide more details. Which version of SV mod (3.0, 3.2, 3.3, with or without hotfix) did you install? What O/S (XP, Vista, 7) and SP (service pack) levels are you running? What is the exact error message? It seems that M2TW does not start at all; is that correct? Inquiring minds want to know. Tell us more.

hmm this is a practically a foolproof way to fix any errors with working mods (not sure with windows 7)

1. Reinstall medieval 2 total war and kingdoms

2 patch medieval 2 to 1.3 and kingdoms to 1.5 (Optional(only if it is a lower version(you can check the version by going into options and on the top right corner there will be a number EX 1.05)))

3 install this mod 3.0 and patch it to 3.3 and apply the hotfix for 3.3

4 play the game (if problem persists may be something technical or maybe you installed medieval 2 or the mod in another folder)

what do you mean when you say patch it
