how can i play max units?

the max recommended units i can play is about 6500, is there anyway i can about 9000 without having to upgrade my pc?

Rome and M2TW are not video intensive at all if you have a 8800 or higher its what processor you have that matters, both games only use 1 core so having a quad core wont matter, only that your clock speed is high, like 3.0Ghz or higher
