    Default Questions to the mod developpers + typo spotted in EDC

    Hi,
    I downloaded RS a few weeks ago in order to break from my habit of modding (my already heavily modded) XGM 5.7 and I was glad I found a great mod. I enjoy the different pace 0-turn recruitment gives. Raising a legion with a specific purpose and disbanding the veterans in their homeland; roleplaying Romans never felt so good.
    Now, unfortunately for me and my spare time, I wish to export some features from RS into my other mod (nicknamed XG Me). The specific features are the governor apart from the family, the "wife", "age and health" traits and the "crowd control" buildings (suburbs and city development plan).

    {roman_governor} Roman Governor-General

    {roman_governor_descr}
    Elite\nInspires Friendly Units\n\nA Roman Governor-General can be a locally appointed official, or a Roman citizen charged with the responsibility of governing a town or city wisely for the good of Rome and its interests. He has a guard of a few soldiers who help garrison the town and keep the peace, as well as protect his person. A governor can be recruited if the town or city has a Governor's House, Villa or Palace. The governor_general can also be an able military General if that is the path you choose for him.

    {roman_governor_descr_short}
    A Roman Governor can be a locally appointed official, or a Roman citizen.

    Now, here's my questions; how can governors have portraits?
    Why isn't he part from the faction family? Is it because he's a "roman_governor"?
    How can he gain traits? Is it because of some sort of distinction like between "Characters all" and "Characters family"

    - I already changed tga's of existing buildings and toyed with export_descr_buildings and export_buildings but there's something I'm wondering. Is there a limit cap to the number of buildings in a settlement like there is a 32 unit recruitment cap?

    - I'm fairly confident I'll be able to port the character traits (I've got backups in worst case scenario), but still, I'll listen to any piece of advice you can give me.

    - In _IMPORTANT STUFF, there are Darth and Sinuhet formations, what are the pros and cons of each one? How does RS 1.6 compared to those two?

    - Last but not least, here's what I think is a typo I spotted when I was busy looking how "wife traits" work.

    Some of this you probably need to be asking in the mod worskshop I should think.

    {roman_governor_descr_short}
    A Roman Governor can be a locally appointed official, or a Roman citizen.
    I'm not sure how that's a typo, as the sentence is clearly a possesive as opposed to the short form of it is.

    Now, here's my questions; how can governors have portraits?
    Because they have the general_unit attribute. For all information pertaining to units read the EDU guide in the workshops tutorial section.

    Why isn't he part from the faction family? Is it because he's a "roman_governor"?
    Because he isn't part of the family, he's a general.

    How can he gain traits? Is it because of some sort of distinction like between "Characters all" and "Characters family"
    The Character family bit in EDCT applies to all generals and family members. For all trait related question read the trait/ancillaries guide in the Rome Workshop Tutorials section.

    - I already changed tga's of existing buildings and toyed with export_descr_buildings and export_buildings but there's something I'm wondering. Is there a limit cap to the number of buildings in a settlement like there is a 32 unit recruitment cap?
    Yes, 64 buildings, the building limit. Though even that can be exceeded as you can script the same building into a settlement.

    - I'm fairly confident I'll be able to port the character traits (I've got backups in worst case scenario), but still, I'll listen to any piece of advice you can give me.
    Use my ATVTW tool, it finds pretty much any error you can have in the traits/ancillaries.

    - In _IMPORTANT STUFF, there are Darth and Sinuhet formations, what are the pros and cons of each one? How does RS 1.6 compared to those two?
    RS1.6 doesn't compare to either, it makes use of one or the other, try them both to see which one you like better, by default RS1.6 installs with Sinuhet's.

    - Last but not least, here's what I think is a typo I spotted when I was busy looking how "wife traits" work.
    Neither is a typo, a trigger can be named anything as long as its name is unique, and if you examine EDB you'll find a building called temple_of_governess.

    Thanks for the answers, Squid.

    I didn't know about the governor thing, it opened many possibilities and I feel I'll spend many weekends on this.

    I already knew avout ATVTW, it's a godsend.
