Yes, we could stand to put one or two factions in Eastern Europe. Don't forget about the Belgae! Oh, and Galatia!
Holding out for Galatia!
My choices would be
1.) Pergamon
2.) Massylia (Numidia)
3.) Cyrene - starting 272bc it would be a shame not to include King Magas and Egypt needs some challenge
4.) Kush - to give Saba an enemy and (oversea-)neighbour and again some challenge for Egypt
5.) Scythia - a good unit mix from horse archers to hoplites and I personally prefer them over the Bosporan kingdom
6.) Bastarnae - with mixed germanic-thracian-scythian(?) influences
7.) Scordisci (celto-illyrian) or any other Illyrian tribe
8.) Boii - celtic tribe in Bohemia/southern germany
9.) Belgae - of mixed celtic-germanic origins
10.) Celtiberii - cause Spain is too empty atm
btw the space in Eastern Asia is also empty, but donīt know which factions could be implented there, any ideas?
Would love to see Atropatene (my only choice/idea there), but a one city province between Armenia and Seleucids would be crushed easily when controlled by the AI
I don't think it is possible to add 10 new factions. I think they can only add 5 or 6. I think The Scordiscii and Belgae would be great to have. And Galatia!

I believe they said they are going to use all faction slots. So 10 new factions.
This post by Krusader seems to imply that there will only be 9 new factions.
This was said when only Pergamon was revealed hence the implication that there will only be 9 new factions
In spite of this I'm sure I recall another team member saying they will use all the slots but I can't seem to find the post though.

Depends on the wording of the post, if it did say that they would use "all the slots" as opposes to using all the slots for playable factions then what your saying could very well be correct.
I believe it was somewhere on the .org that a team member siad they were going to have 10 new factions, instead of 9. But I could be wrong ofcourse.
My goodness! What a wonderous and mystical world we live in when we are trying to guess how many factions there will be in EB2!

Some factions I would like to see that arnt already confirmed are...
The Bosporan Kingdom
Either Palmyrae or the Nabateans
An Illyrian faction
Another Iberian faction
basically any factions that'll postpone any monopolies, so;
Numidians (good choice and forces Carthage to look outwards for conquest)
Numantia (many tribes in Hispania so... they'll do)
Syracuse (very important especially in Punic Wars)
Indian faction (because that end of the map is too empty and AS need to be kept in check)
Cyrene (good call Xerrop, that'll show Ptolemy!)
Massilia (celto-greek faction between Rome and the Gauls? smashing!)
Brigantes or caledonian tribe (just to make britannia more fun)
Chatti or Cimbri (just to face the sweboz and to make that campaign more interesting)
Ethiopian kingdom (would be one of many as there was no-pan ethiopian kingdom at this point)
Illyrian faction (come on! big empty space just begging to be filled!)
The Duke of Dunwich and surrounding fiefdom
For any who are interested by my FF on occurrences in Rhun and beyond; I have begun a new project (not because the old one is finished, just opening more room for ideas) about one of the minor characters, Rankal. It is in the Third Age AAR index and here is the link http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=376994

They can add whatever factions they like. All I wish for is a Galatian faction and an Illyrian faction. The Belgae would also be nice.
