Teutonic Campaign Character Names
hail, dear friends-modmakers, bright minds.
i need some help here, if it possible.
i've tried to change character names in kingdoms teutonic campaign original folder.
unpacked only this campaign with unpacker. not even the original medieval II (maybe you will see something in here?)
first of all:
in descr_names novgorod faction changed "alexander" on "aleksandr"
in descr_strat novgorod faction changed "alexander nevski" on "aleksandr nevski" and in 'family tree' the same change.
after the unpacking of teutonic campaign the names.string.bin (or smth) appears in data/text folder. somewhy it was impossible to use 'python convert_all' stuff to get names.txt file, maybe a bug, couse it was possible earlier... ok, i've got another names.txt file from another mod and made the needable one by using original teutonic descr_names.txt, exel program (for "\{@\}@") and notepad program to save this thing as names.txt with {aleksandr}aleksandr in the end of a file.
then the names_verifier v1.6. it has created descr_names_lookup and has sad that all right: it saw descr_names, descr_strat, descr_names_lookup, names.txt, about 5000 names or smth, no warnings, no errors.
holy moly, in the campaign there are no nothing in the place of aleksandr nevski's name!
looks like the medieval II dosn't see names.txt file, or smth.
maybe it need a bin one?
earlier i've changed the names of russian faction in retrofit mod, added hundreds of new names, not converted names.txt to bin file and success. everything was ok.
same thing tried in deus_lo_vult_teutonic_campaign. in that mod in data/text folder was names.txt and a proper bin file. they dosn't changed the names in they version from original. i've tried by the same algorythm as i've typed earlier and also packed names.txt in a bin one. -- python was alright. but the same! blanks instead names, good people!
what's this? teutonic is blind? i am blind?
help!
