EDU Edit

Hey everyone this problem has probably been asked plently of times before, however....

I've recently started editing my EDU file to change the statistics of many of my units. I noticed that the changes I made were not taking effect, so I started looking on the forums here for an answer. I found that I need to add [io]file_first=true to the preference file. I did that and changed the file to read only as I was supposed to. However I still havent seen my changes take effect in game. Does anyone have any advice or idea where I can possibly go from here.

You mean the stats haven't changed on the unit cards?

Yes, that is true. I have also changed the soldier type of some of my units for example just to test it I changed the Border Horse for Scotland to the Gothic_Knights soldier. I also noted that the last line of the EDU dispalys the Melee Attack, Missle, as well as Defence. I changed that and still nothing happened.

Could you post a picture of your properties box--you know, where you set it to file_first.
