If they pass this monstrosity, then the House and Senate get together for reconciliation, and come up with a bill that has aspects of both bills. This bill is then voted on in both House and Senate. If it passes in both Houses, then it goes to the Prez for his signature, after which they start immediately taxing people, even though "benefits" don't happen until 2014.

The thing that no one is doing, except for people like myself ... on the outside ... is seriously questioning the need for a "bill", in the first place. If the need for healthcare was so critical, why do the benefits not "kick in" until 2014? Why not start them the day the Premiere signs the bill into law?

Surely, we want to help the children, do we not?
